I shed yet another layer and
Think
Wow even that
Was another layer
.
.
I once passed a man on the street
sobbing and knew that someone had died
suddenly, violently
Someone young
It wasn’t that
his sobs, his emotions were so intense that
It couldn’t have been for any other reason
.what else could be so dramatic.
Instead it was imbued
as we say, it struck a chord
the sound was what one would make
if a life so precious and close came ripped away from
from you so quickly that then the front flank of your own body
goes with it and the sound of your wail
like spilling guts on the streets,
how they don’t grow back
And the pain
we didn’t know death could be so painful
And still yet keep living,
a finger finds the pulse
The next day:
Did you see that man crying last night?
Yes… it sounded like someone died
And he says, in seriousness
I got the same impression.
And his response was not that
He thought that
Wow this guy is really crying,
Someone must have died.
It was that he too saw
That this person had died
suddenly, maybe violently
maybe an accident
someone young
That it was a boy
his child, his son
Can you see that you know?
For example
A close friend once said to me
I’ve had this amazing experience!
And I thought, wow
I don’t want to hear anything about this experience
And then
Actually, I don’t want to talk to him ever again
so i didnt
.
die ego die
mind says to mind
no don’t try to be silent
just be silent
.
.
I was told the tears vast tears
would come
randomly profusely
from nowhere from touching it and then they did
But Don Juan says the poet can only touch it they cannot stay
another layer deeper still
