To love without attachment is
too much like the real world
Where they say nothing lasts
forever
That we're born and die alone
So wouldn't it fix everything
to hang onto something,
like a person
And make it ours for
always
To then escape this feeling
that all there will ever be is me
Oh deary deary, I love as attached to thee
And wouldn't it be tragic
to love as if we might go on without each other
to realize he won't lose himself,
that she likes to make her own mind
Isn't it better if we legitimize each other?
Through something like fealty,
we're in love with the leverage we gain
And just like the person,
So too the ideas, the beliefs
Isn't it safer if we stick to them
Wouldn't it work well
if we built worlds
around them and lived there
Because we're (un)comfortable here,
we understand here
In our beliefs, so also the self
Let me hold on, dear life
For just a little longer
But one day
Wouldn't it be wild
What could it feel like
To peel away
the layers
& find there is no centre i love this poem
